Finch was born in La Mirada Calif. and began playing softball at 5. Doug Finch, her father was the very first coach of Jennie's pitching. Jennie aged just 10 when she started, was the first to utilize the Finch Windmill a hand conditioning device that was invented by Doug. When she was in high school, Jennie pitched six perfect games and 13 no-hitters. Then she went to University of Arizona. University of Arizona where she was an All-American three times as well as a first baseman. The nation voted her the Best Softball Player during 2001, by the Wildcats who won the championship. She also won in 2002. Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team (WWAST) Its mission is to bring awareness to the military by playing the sport of exhibition softball as well as celebrity games and to highlight the resilience of our soldiers.
